As a child I thought that the
dust from horses hooves
looked like clouds. I always
loved the paints the best of
all the horses. The horses
are running through the sky
with the New Mexico sunset
behind them. The
superimposed petroglyph
sun, on top of the New
Mexico sun, represents the
agelessness of the universe.
The colored ribbons that
swirl are reminiscent of a
maypole. The horses are
positioned like the horses on
a carousel, and painted in
colors that you would see on
a carousel. This is a hard
edge fantasy painting that
came from my imagination.
