One sunny afternoon on the way to "
The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower
Center" we spotted this gorgeous
field of poppys near a bank parking
lot. My friend Terry Garity
fortunately had his camera along.
Since we were on a trip to see
wildflowers, we had flowers on our
minds. These lovely poppys were
bobbing their heads in the sunlight as
they danced to the flight of the many
bumblebees that were enjoying them.
This was truly a bumblebee heaven!
This spectacular field was in south
Austin, Texas. I was so thrilled
when I saw the photo Terry took
that I painted the poppys.
