This spring my husband and I
were driving in the Texas
countryside looking for
wildflowers to photograph.
This particular painting was
done from one of these
photographs taken near
Brenham, Texas.
The flowers looked so delicate
and confetti-like that they
reminded me of a place where
fairies might like to play. The
way they were sprinkled so
colorfully around the meadows
reminded me of confetti. They
were so lovely that I thought
surely fairies would love to live
in this confetti-like parade of
colors.
