When visiting my mother
in New Mexico I was
captivated with the way her
garden looked against the blue
sky. Hollyhocks grow
incredibly tall and beautiful in
New Mexico. I tried to
capture the vibrant colors
against the sunny sky as they
swayed back and forth in the
summer breeze. The centers of
the flowers have incredibly
gorgeous designs in them.
The lines and shadows made
very interesting patterns which
I have painted inside them.
