This painting was started in my
Taos garden. I had planted
wildflowers on the hillside and
all through my lawn this
particular spring. There were
so many of them that I took
photos of different groupings
so I could paint later. This tiny
little patch of pink and orange
poppies next to the purple
asters caught my eye. The
color grouping was facinating
to me. I finished the painting
later on in my gallery in
Ranchos Plaza. It was a very
tiny patch of flowers so I
painted on a small canvas to
capture the feeling of the
flowers.
