This is a colored pencil drawing of my
favorite doll. I was given this gorgeous
rag doll when I lived in Australia by my
son's grandparents. I was invited to dinner
at their home for my birthday. Sitting at
the table in a seat all of her own was
"Amber" my doll. The doll is very special
to me because of who gave it to me, but
also because it was a complete surprise.
I had talked to my mother-in-law about
seeing gorgeous rag dolls in a gallery.
They were quite large, and all a little
different. I described Amber to her, as she
was my favorite. The doll was a complete
surprise! Behind the doll is a lovely pillow
that my mother embroidered with a
gorgeous white persian cat. The drawing is
very nostalgic to me. I also have giclee
prints on paper of this doll.
