This painting is an
abstraction of the original
painting "In The Meadow". As
I was painting a miniature
watercolor to go with the gift
set for "In The Meadow", I
noticed that the watercolor
looked very fresh and simply
stated. I thought that it would
be fun to use that idea for a
semi- abstract feeling in a
painting. As I began to put the
bright colors and simplified
shapes together I noticed that
it reminded me of some of the
designs that came out of the
50's. So I named it "Retro
Meadow". It is a fun and
happy painting.
