This painting was inspired by a trip to
Taos, New Mexico at Thanksgiving.
One evening my husband and I were
driving back to my friend Lili's home.  It
was night and a lot of snow had just
finished falling.  The moon and stars had
come out and they were illuminating the
new fallen snow.  The stars looked as big
as comets as they danced through the
dark skys.  I wanted to capture the
magical skys and the moon on the snow.
The swirling snow came from the way it
looked as it blew around on the ground,
and in the air that afternoon. The buffalo
symbolize calm and serenity in the midst
of a storm.
